Default views

The request overview shows all your requests and requests of your teams. You can use the default views to switch between:

  • Unassigned new, unassigned requests for my team(s)

  • Assigned to me – requests that are assigned to me

  • All requests – all requests assigned to my team(s)

The Archive then includes all resolved requests.

Sorting and filtering

In each view you can filter and sort the requests using the filter bar on top, so that you can find exactly the requests you're looking for.

You can also search through all requests using the search icon, or by pressing Cmd+K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (on Windows).

We will search through all requests, incl. title, description, replies, internal notes, and approvals. If you search for a specific name, we will also return all requests this person requested.

We will only search through requests that you have access to, i.e. all requests in your teams and all requests in public teams in your organizations.

As with the default views, you can also apply different filters to the search results.

Create new request

If you need to create a request for yourself or on behalf of someone you can do so directly from Back. Simply select New Request and provide the requester, team, and title, and description.

Requests

For each request you can take a couple of actions straight from the overview to help you prioritize and organize work for yourself and your team.

  • Assign request to yourself or anyone else from the team

  • Set a priority

  • Change the status

  • Send the request to another team in case it was filed incorrectly or other team needs to be involved.
ℹ️ Once filed for another team the request will go back to the unassigned requests

  • Categorize a request or set an internal due date

  • Add request to a Project

You will also see whenever there is an update in the request right next to the title.

Settings

You can access settings by clicking on your organization name in the top left corner.

You will be able to go to user and team management, as well as see all teams that you are member of, incl. the email address of their Back inbox.
